Weekly blog #2

 Howdy, today is the 5th time I believe to writing in this blog, and to be frank I kind of like it. I also liked doing my weekly blog on Friday than the others days for various reasons. The first reasons of why I like doing the blog on Friday is because today is the last day I can do it, and I like to talk about my week on the last day since I know what happens during that week. I like it since I would know if my week had been great, or had been terrible; this week was not bad, but also not great, so I give this week a "meh". The only good thing that happen was passing my sociology test where I thought I would failed, but I got a good grade on it. That made me super happy and convinced me study. The only thing that I did not like about the week was the essay because I do not like writing essays that much since they are tedious to do. However, the lessons professor Kyburz thought us was useful since I finally know what I am doing. I am certain that I would get an above average on the paper since I am still working on it. I know that I may have some things on my paper not up to par, so that is were the peer review of next week would come in, and that class activity is going to be extremely useful to not only, but to everyone. The peer review is the only think I am looking forward next week. That is all I am going to talk about today, so I will see you guys tomorrow. 

Weekly blog #1

 For this week, we are doing a rhetorical analysis on our chosen documentary.  When we returned on Tuesday, Professor Kybruz explained what we are going to do during the week, which was what to write on our completed paper, as well as making a rhetorical analysis near the end of our paper. If I am being honest, I was a bit confused on what we are supposed to do, but I did like a student should do and asked a question. After doing that, I realized that I kind of messed up on my paper by trying to summarized the entire documentary and not focusing on a specif scene and analyzing it. After she had answered my question, I restarted my entire paper, which was not much since I only wrote the intro. After I start my paper all over, I went back to my chosen documentary and found the scene that gave me the most feelings. After I found the scene, I downloaded the analysis guide and was working though it until I was satisfied with the results. I am still writing my analysis because I have other homework to do, but I could finish it in like 14 minutes, so there is that. For my week, I pretty much did nothing except doing homework and playing video games, which you might think its pathetic, but I happy with it, and isn't that enough. That is all I will type on this blog today, so see you next time. 

Guided Reflection- Doc Project

 1.) The Scene in Cartel Land that got to me was a meeting where the people were getting mad at the deference because they were doing the same thing that the cartel was doing, which was invading houses, stealing loot, and integrating people violently. That scene got me feeling both angry and interested. Angry because the Autodefence were risking their life to defend the town and people, and interested because the actions the members in the Autodefence were doing were the same ones that the cartels were doing. So this was possible a foreshadow that the Autodefence were slowly getting corrupt. 

2.) The stuff that caught me off guard was the documentary showing the bodies of innocents that the cartels murdered. They were pretty graphic and caught me off guard.

3.) I have many questions that I have after watching. The first one is how was the camera crew not hurt during recording. Others were the outcome of the new Federal Defense team the government made. And what happen to Dr. Misselena and his family. The feelings were fear after viewing, like all the progress the Autodefence made were probably gone. Also, it states near the end that some of the members are registered members in the Virgas Cartel. Fear did pop up in my life whenever I encountered anything I was afraid of, like falling. 

4.) We cannot not do research in our summaries mainly because all the reaserach was done in the documentary we have watched. If we did our own research, then it will be confusing since there is a change it might conflict with the documented research. 

Clash of Clans = god tier game

 

You see, Clash of Clans, or sometimes called COC, is a multiplayer mobile game that was released by SuperCell on August 12, 2012. The premise of this mobile game is simple, you start off with a small town hall with a few defenses and resources, and your main goal is to level up your town hall to the max level and be victories. The main game play of the game is using your army that you leveled up and train and attack other players bases to either steal their loot or trophies ( the trophies are used to level up your rank in the game, where there a 7 of them.) You can have many different troops in your army, but each troop has to own attack and somewhat of their own ability. Because of this mechanic, there are many different strategies one must know in order to be an amazing raider. So basically this game requires you to be good and strategize good in order to play this game.

So you may be wondering why I called this game a god tier then? Well to start off, this game is mobile, and many games on the phone or tablet does not survive this long, because the fan base for these games die out or get bored of it. But COC has survived for 9 years! And next year would be their 10th anniversary, so it is going to be a big deal not only for the game, but also for the developers and their fan base. Also, the reason people do not get bored of this game is because they add a lot of content to do during this game. An example is a single player mode where you can play by yourself and attack little goblin villages and not other players bases. Another good example is adding more town hall level, where you need to upgrade your town hall in order to get more stuff, like new defenses or resources. But for some people, like me for example, are playing this game like a on again, off again relationship. Where I play this game, then I give up on it for a couple of months, and then I go on it again. Even though I may not play this game for a while, I still love this game and it holds a special place in my heart. I look forward to playing this game in the future, mainly for the big 10th anniversary.
